Acaawesome

Today I went to the movies for the first time since Magic Mike and I wish that I had unlimited tickets to the theatre because I love it so much. Today I saw Pitch Perfect and it reinstalled my love of acappella and love and the Breakfast Club. I'm obsessed with the UNC Clef Hangers and the UVA Halabahoos and I've seen multiple episodes of the Sing-Off so naturally I was right in line the first free second I got to go see it with my sister. I seriously suggest you go see this movie because the singing is incredible, the actors are hysterical, and the main male character is adorable so that never ever hurts. Spoiler Alert though: it does have some pretty cliche moments in it that were less than awesome but anything with Anna Kendrick and/or Brittany Snow in it is sure to be a movie-collection staple

Music of Week 4

So, this may be week five but it's been real busy with school and homecoming coming up all too quickly so here's what's been playing through my brain for dayss.

1. Ronan- Taylor Swift: If you think all TSwift does is sing about her boyfriends, then you are sadly mistaken, and this will prove it.
2. All you Ever & Storm Warning- Hunter Hayes
3. Coffee Shop Soundtrack- All Time Low (I know, I'm sorry too)
4. Bubble Toes- Jack Johnson
5. Drunk-Ed Sheeran
6. (You Drive Me) Crazy- Britney Spears (Yes, it is a classic)

Long Time No See!

Hello all you lovely people! Things have been pretty crazy lately with school and work and cheerleading and it seems we've take a minor hiatus. We're back though! And ready to catch you up on what's been happening. This weekend the dynamic duo were reunited once again. We went to a bonfire with sing-alongs, pancakes were made, and Hadley sat around in Starbucks while I was working my little tush off. Koala-T stuff.

As for myself, I was recently (nominated? elected? proclaimed?) named one of my high school's three varsity cheerleading captains. And let me tell you: it is an honor. We have a huge legacy and a fabulous reputation to upkeep. Along with an ECC title to hold on to. It really means a lot to me, especially because I'm a junior and juniors aren't usually captains. In my other world, all-star cheerleading, I was chosen to be point dancer during my ten hours of choreography this past week. For those of you who are completely clueless as to what that means, I am dead and front center for the dance. The dance is my favorite part because it's a lot of fun: you get to go crazy and perform your ass off, not to mention total stardom for about thirty seconds. Dancing on stage with big bright lights and hundreds of people watching you? Come on. It's the dream. I love performing so much I'm considering becoming an actress. I'm also an excellent liar. Or am I? ;)

I'm done boring you guys to death with cheerleading nonsense. Catch ya later!

XOXO - J

I fell into a burning ring of fire. I went down, down, down, and the flames went higher

Dearest Readers,
Sometimes, whether you know the outcome or not, you have a Jump. And as a wise girl once said, "Don't be afraid to Jump then Fall." And that's what I did. I jumped. I took a chance. And sadly, I fell. But learn from me. Face your fears. There is one quote I always live by, said by a girl who knows a lot about boys and love and life: The full quote is:
"Real life is a funny thing, you know. In real life, saying the right thing at the right moment is beyond crucial. So crucial, in fact, that most of us start to hesitant for fear of saying the wrong thing at the wrong time. But lately what I've begun to fear more than that is letting the moment pass without saying anything. I think you deserve to look back on  your life without this chorus of resounding voices saying, 'I could've but it's too late now'. So  there's a time for silence, and there's a time for
waiting your turn. But if you know how you feel, and you so clearly know what you need to say, you'll know it. I don't think you should wait. I think you should speak now."
Despite my fear of rejection, yes I do have that fear, I finally lived by that quote. And it hurt, but at least now I know, right?

Reunited and it Feels So Good

What's a better way to spend labor day then with your best friend? There isn't one. Spending the past four days with this little ball of sunshine is the closest I've felt to home in a while. We've included some pictures below to give you an idea of our weekend together!
