Tonight it ends. The past two and a half months have practically been commitment free, and full of adventure. I've gone to some pretty incredible places, like Bermuda and New York and Vermont and Cape Cod with some pretty incredible people. I've been to beaches, I've been to shows, I've been to parties. But I'm still not satisfied. Do you ever feel like you've got so much wasted potential on your hands?
I suppose it's because the beginning of the summer started off with a bang. I had a new boy to save me from the sorrows of the last. A had a huge group of friends who would hang out nearly everyday, going to the beach in groups of twenty people. Then at night, drink so much we forgot what even happened. And then it dwindled down as things always do. By that point I was off on a plane to a lovely British territory and tropical island. It was breaktaking, and hard to top. Maybe that's why the rest of the summer didn't compare? Within two days of my return, I was out again and off to the Cape to meet up with my lovely bestfriend, H. Call me a gypsy. I stayed there for four or five days, taking in the magic of Chipotle and Magic Mike. Coming home to a firework show and intoxication was wonderful. The rest of the summer is a blur, up until Vermont and Warped Tour. After that, I began spending more time with my recent graduates, going to the beach and parties with them amd just hanging out to cherish them while they're still around. Now, as a matter of fact, most of them are gone. There were two nights in particular that were the unforgetable-although-i-don't-remember-much kind: Ryan's and Aidan's Olympic get together. And then there was Vermont with the gang, which was absolutely positively one of the greatest weekends I've ever had. Particularly the first night. Everyone I could ever really need was in the large and beautiful house. I actually tried very hard to keep my phone off that weekend, because I felt like nothing else was more important. I hate when you walk into a room full of people and they're all on their phones or ipods or tablets or whatever. WE ALL NEED TO CHERISH EACH OTHER. Although nothing will ever compare to last year's last night of summer: last night was very appropriate and full of last night of summer activites.
