Living the LUSH life

So I've been wanting to do this FOREVER and I decided to do it now before the holidays because Then ill be buying these products in bulk.
SO Lush Cosmetics is something you could say I have an obsession with. I fell in love the minute I stepped through the door of the Providence Place Mall store. So here's a review of pretty much all the things, good and bad, I've tried from LUSH.

1. Catastrophe Face Mask:
This is the first face mask I tried and I got about halfway through the pot before I realized I was using it all wrong. I liked this but it didn't do much for my skin. I have very sensitive skin with not-so-acne-prone skin and this just didn't do much. (Funny story: I asked my dad to grab my fave mask, the one in the black pot out of the fridge [yes, you're supposed to keep them refrigerated] and he brought it to me with an inquisitive look on his face. He then said "oh that stuff tastes awful. I put it on my toast yesterday." Welcome to my Life, readers, my dad ate my face mask.)
2. Cupcake Face Mask:
This has Rhassoul mud in it which is not good for sensitive skin but I decided to try it instead because my skin was getting bad from stress. Safe to say once again it did nothing for my breakouts (which it was said to do) so I nixed this one and moved onto the next. However, this smelled like chocolate and took a lot of will power not to eat it..
3. The Sacred Truth face mask
This time around I thoroughly talked to the salespeople (I love them, they're my favorite people in the world) and they suggested this one. And boy were they right! This made my skin incredible soft and cleared my breakouts slightly. If I had any advice it'd be to READ THE INSTRUCTIONS and TALK TO THE SALESPEOPLE. They know their stuff
4. Marilyn Hair Moisturizing Mask
I got this in New York after the hair dying disaster of 2011 in hopes to get my natural color back (I died my hair darker, it came out black. Contrary to the 26 washes limit, it lasted nine months...). Although it didn't give me the results I wanted it made my hair SUPER soft and brought out my buried under natural highlights. WARNING: This stuff smells awful and is gross to apply to your hair. Messy, but I recommend it for blondes!
5. WOOSH Shower Jelly
two words: IN LOVE. I started using this back in the spring during the lacrosse season and the weird heat wave back in march. The smell is sweet and tart and its gelatinous which is AWESOME. I put mine in the freezer so when I was hot and sticky after practice this was my savior. Woke me up with the smell and the ice cold feeling. Go and buy this. Now.
6. Sea Vegetable Soap
This was the first soap I bought and it was quite dense so it was a little pricey but well worth it. It had a citrusy smell with a seaweed top that made my skin really soft (which is impressive because I have bumpy skin)
7. Sandstone Soap:
I originally bought this to get rid of my spray tan which was coming off in specks and I looked like I was a leper. It did the job alright! It's incredibly abrasive but the lemon scent makes the pain bearable. Definitely recommended for exfoliating.
8. Karma soap:
For some reason I didn't like this scent at first but I kept smelling it every time I went in there and now I love it!! What I love most about this soap is that is lingers on your skin so you have a slight halo of patchouli encircling you all. day. long. SO SCRUMPTIOUS. As you can tell, because there's barely any left. (This is my 'fall' soap).
9. Buffy Moisturizing Bar:
I have these bumps on my arms that are annoying a hell and this helped a lot. It has pieces of almonds/almond shells in it to exfoliate the crap out of anything. The smell is very nutty and creamy and I kinda like it. Wasn't my favorite but it wasn't the worst. After use it leaves a film over your skin so it locks in all the moisture and then spreads to let more in and out (that's me paraphrasing the women who sold it to me). I would buy this again but I'm going to try the other moisture bars first to see if I like any others better.

BATH BOMB TIME!
10. Big Blue Bath Bomb and Sunny Side Bubble Bar:
My first and favorite bath bomb. I used it with the Sunny Side bubble bar to make the Mermaid bath cocktail and it was FLAWLESS. There was tons of seaweed in the middle if Big Blue which was kind of a bitch to get out of the tub but it turned the bath a teal color with shimmering waves throughout because of the bubble bar. If I didn't have a rule about trying all the bath bombs I would grab this one again in a heartbeat! WARNING: although the Sunny Side bubble bar is heaven in a package it is very difficult to cleanup. i was cleaning glitter off my tub for a while after. I still highly recommend it, just fair warning.

These two are not my pictures!

11. Dragons Egg Bath bomb:

If you couldn't tell by now, in a sucker for anything with glitter. So naturally I had to try this one. The smell was ehh, reminded me of old people (no offense, just very grandma-like) but the show was magnificent.

12. Pink Pink Pink bath bomb:
I loved this one a lot! It had a special surprise inside which was so fun to soak in and the smell was like being enveloped in bubble gum kisses and candy wishes!!

13. Dorothy bubble bar:
This one turned the bath mostly blue but the bubbles weren't too frothy. I wish it produced more bubbles but I did love the scent if this one. More on the sweet\floral-y side of things.
This is not my personal photo

14. Spacegirl Bath Bomb
I wasn't impressed with this one too much. I liked the smell. It was sweet like candy with a grapefruit-y scent to it. I tried to use it to relax before I had my first big commercial shoot and the scents weren't too relaxing but Michael Buble certainly was! I don't know it it lost it's fizziness due to me keeping it out too long in humid weather or what but id was a pretty sad bath. It didn't event urn my tiny little bath tub purple...

So as long as that was, its only going to get worse with the TONS of products they came out with for the holidays. Stay tuned for the next LUSH goodies review around mid November/December
